Hey, my name is Levi Dade, and I’m so excited you’re here! I’m a Mississippi native currently attending Ouachita Baptist University in Arkansas. You can typically find me reading a book (or ordering a new one off of Amazon!), kayak fishing, hiking, writing, taking photos for the yearbook, or struggling to decide which one of these activities I should do!
I created Defending Christianity in the Spring of 2020 convinced that the Church of Jesus Christ could do a better job at defending the faith. Since then, I’m even more convinced! This doesn’t mean the Church needs to abandon the spiritual side of Christianity and embrace intellectualism. In reality, there isn’t a “spiritual side” or an “intelligence side,” because we can embrace both at once, and we should! 1 Peter 3 tells us to regard Christ Jesus as holy, ready at any time to give a reason for the hope that we have in Christ, yet do this with gentleness and respect. Embracing a faith where you use your heart and mind is key to showing the love of Christ to others as we engage. My prayer for the Church is that we love Christ with our minds and use what we know to reach the world for his glory and his Kingdom alone.
